maliit-framework software package provides Maliit Input Method Framework, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install maliit-framework
maliit-framework is installed in your system.
Make ensure the maliit-framework package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep maliit-framework *
You will get with maliit-framework package name, version, architecture and description in a table
